SPACEBACK

Privacy, explained.

Updated September 16, 2026.

Your videos

We process videos and photos locally in your browser. Photo previews and copies remain in this tab until you leave; they are not uploaded. SpaceBack does not upload your videos, filenames, thumbnails or compressed copies to our server. Browser codecs read your selected files. Your originals are never changed or deleted.

Large results use temporary browser storage on your device. Download results before closing the page. Clear batch removes temporary results for the current batch; unused temporary results older than seven days are removed when the compressor next starts. Browser storage can also be cleared in your browser settings.

Your account and usage

Google verifies your sign-in. We receive your Google account identifier and verified email address. Essential secure cookies maintain your session for up to 30 days; signing out revokes this browser session. We store these alongside export identifiers, status and timestamps to operate your two free tries. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Photos or Google Drive. Trial records survive browser reloads.

Subscriptions and support

When billing is enabled, Paddle processes payment and stores billing details under its own privacy notice. We store subscription and customer identifiers, subscription status and billing-period dates. We do not store full card numbers. Support requests and replies are saved so you can return to read them.

Advertising and cookies

Advertising is currently disabled. If enabled, free signed-in accounts may see Google AdSense ads. Paying subscribers and the owner preview do not load the advertising integration. Google’s consent-management service will handle applicable advertising choices. If consent cannot be established, we suppress advertisements. Sign-in uses essential secure cookies. We do not use local storage to decide whether you have paid.

Storage and your requests

Account and support records are held in the website’s hosted database. Hosting providers may process technical request logs. Request access, correction or deletion through support. Records needed for billing, security or legal obligations may need to be retained. An account deletion request does not automatically cancel a payment-provider subscription; cancel renewal in your account first.
