Compression is lossy; unchanged quality and smaller sizes are not guaranteed. 4K requires a compatible encoder and enough device storage. No upscaling. HDR video is not supported. Photo limits: 50 MB and 40 megapixels.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Can I use this on a phone or computer?
Yes. The layout adapts to phones, tablets and desktops. SpaceBack checks your browser’s video encoder and temporary storage when you open this page. Current Chrome, Safari, Edge and Opera are the intended browsers; capabilities depend on your operating system and device. In-app browsers inside TikTok, Instagram or Facebook may have fewer features: use their menu to open the link in your main browser.
On iPhone, keep the tab visible and the screen awake while compressing. Use Download to save to Files, or Save or share video when your browser offers it. If a phone struggles with a batch, use one video at a time or try a computer. HDR iPhone recordings are not currently supported.
Why can a 1 GB video still fail?
Your browser needs compatible video codecs, enough free device storage and support for writing temporary files. A 1 GB input limit is not a guarantee on every device. Start with one video and keep the app open.
Do you upload my videos?
No. Video processing takes place on your device. Large results are temporarily stored in your browser’s private storage. Download them, then use Clear batch to remove the temporary copies.
Will the picture look exactly the same?
Compression is lossy. Detail, sharpness and motion may change. Compare both videos before deleting an original. HDR is not supported in this beta.
Does downloading free storage?
No. You initially have both files. Only remove an original after checking and safely saving your compressed copy. SpaceBack never deletes originals.
